(Theatre Scrub Nurse) RN, RM Our very experienced and personally selected theatre sisters, specialize in assisting in cataract surgery. Their meticulous attention to detail ensures your surgery is performed with the highest standard of care.
Diane (Pre and Postoperative Nurse) RN, RM Diane takes care of you pre and postoperatively, her caring & attentive bedside manner ensures you will have the safest & warmest care during your surgical procedure.

Dr Sudarshan Sachdev consults on Thursday afternoons in Rosebery and operates on Thursday mornings at The Day Surgery Unit. His primary practice is based in Dee Why. Dr Sachdev has been an Ophthalmologist since 1975 and single-handedly successfully operates a busy Dee Why Practice, which is due to many reasons, a large factor is his excellent communication skills and practical common sense approach which patients regard highly. Dr Sachdev completed his international fellowship training in prestigious UK institutions before starting up a successful practice in Taree in 1975. He has been president of the Rotary Club of Rosebay and has performed many international Rotary charitable eye camps providing free surgery & eye care. |

Dr Naresh Sachdev has been a GP for over 25 years. She is a qualified Gynaecologist but has chosen GP practice because she enjoys the complete care she can provide as a GP. Her thorough and comprehensive approach to medicine is highly valued & explains why patients and families have been loyal patients for decades. In addition to running the busy GP practice, Dr Sachdev is a highly experienced administrator of the Day Surgery since its inception and has full Australian fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Obstetrics & Gynaecologists. |

Dr Chris Fisher is a highly experienced and caring anaesthetist. He ensures your treatment is pain free, safe, relaxed and has a vital role in monitoring you during your entire surgery. Dr Fisher completed his international fellowship training from the USA in 1998. Dr Nitin Sachdev (Nathan) completed his medical degree in the UK followed by Ophthalmology training at the Sydney Eye Hospital, which has rotations within the major Sydney teaching hospitals. Since then he has completed Medical Retina superspeciality fellowship training. He was awarded a PhD from UNSW for his original work on cataract research in 2004. He has had a strong history of international publications and regularly attends international, national and local conferences and in the past has been involved with several cutting edge retinal trials. He has been active in participating on several Royal Australian College of Ophthalmology Committees. He regularly gives popular teaching sessions to optometrists, orthoptists, nurses, medical students, GP’s and other doctors and specialists. He is well known for having the ability to explain complex issues in a simple to understand manner. In addition to providing comprehensive specialist medical and surgical eye care he offers the very latest technology in intraocular lenses for cataract surgery, 3D digital glaucoma imaging & laser treatments, retinal lasers, retinal injections, retinal laser scans, retinal angiograms and eye lid surgery, including cosmetic lid surgery. Dr Nathan Sachdev singlehandedly founded The Mascot Eye Specialist Centre. Tel 83237470 A State of the art architecturally custom built Eye Centre with his own dedicated team of staff. She completed her PhD in New Zealand, followed by Paediatric subspeciality training in Melbourne. She is one of the Directors of the Australian Society of Ophthalmologists |
